Holes are blocked in the distribution tubes from lime
Lime packed in the float keeping the float from dropping

Remove distribution tubes and water diverters if necessary and clean. Preferred method is soaking the distribution tubes in hot acid water in an old water filter housing
Using the same hot acid mixture, soak float and check valve housing
After reinstalling the clean distribution tubes and float, remove the cube guides
Turn the unit to 'wash.' Using hot water, melt the ice away from the evaporator fins. This will release the slab of ice into the water reservoir, melting the ice quicker.
After all the ice is melted, drain the machine. Pour the same hot water/acid mixture into the reservoir. Circulate on 'wash' for 10-20 minutes
While circulating the cleaner in the machine, clean pump area, curtains, drop area and ledge where the machine meets the bin.
Drain and rinse the machine
Replace water filter if necessary
This float is out of a Subway unit. Always pull the float and water pump when cleaning a Subway unit
Don't forget to clean the check valve
Don't stretch the check valve spring where the machine is unable to pump out
