Here is a chart to adjust the Hoshizaki cublet shut down delay for the infrared bin control. 100 seconds is the DEFAULT setting. There are cases where its necessary to adjust the delay timer to 1100 seconds.
One scenario is when the dispenser agitator stops under the infrared sensor.
If the sensor sees it for more than 100 seconds, the machine will shut off. Once the dispenser agitator moves out of view from infrared sensor, the machine's gear motor must run for 5 minutes before ice will start producing.
If the agitator stops under the infrared sensor during this start up process, the machine shuts off again. The machine will not make ice again until the 5 minute start up timer goes uninterrupted.
This can cause low production. By switching to 1100 seconds, its unlikely the machine will shut off because the agitator will not stay in the same place for 18 minutes.
Here are adjustments to either use the infrared bin control or a mechanical bin control. If the machine is on a stand-alone bin, a mechanical bin control can be used instead of the infrared control by turning the dip switch #7 off, #8 on, #9 on.
